Dan Brodie is a revered Australian singer-songwriter.
Since 1999, Brodie has captured audiences around the world, releasing a succession of albums (seven in total) which have been nominated for numerous awards.
Brodie's talents are recognised in his native Australia with two ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards for his second album, Empty Arms, Broken Hearts as well as an unfaltering reputation as an incredible live performer with acclaimed appearances at festivals such as the Big Day Out, Byron Bay Bluesfest, Splendour in the Grass and the Binic Folks Blues festival in France, signing to French label Beast Records in 2012 and completing numerous tours of Europe both as a solo artist and with assorted backing musicians.
Along with his various outfits, The Broken Arrows and The Grieving Widows, Brodie's musical talents have taken him to the U.S., U.K., Brazil, France, Spain and Denmark, playing such iconic venues as CBGB in New York, The Continental in Austin, The Exit/In in Nashville and The Olympia in Paris.
His latest solo covers Album, "Lost Not Found" represents a high water mark, capturing Brodie at his most vulnerable - from the visceral Bob Dylan opener, "Standing in the doorway" to a meditative take on Iggy Pop's "The Passenger", through to Merle Haggard's "Tonight the bottle let me down" and Paul Simon's "You can call me Al"; and was recently performed to sell out audiences across Europe. This tour also included a stopover at France's famed Conservatoire Municipal Gabriel Faure in Paris to shoot an intimate black and white clip for Dan's original track, "Words of a Drunken Man".
Joining Dan at Major Tom's will be longtime collaborator and world renowned guitar slinging brother-in-crime, Chris Brodie.
